Jenna-Louise Coleman, a British actress who is well-known for portraying Clara Oswald on the TV series Doctor Who, has a significant fan base. When she was a young girl she was able to begin acting as a part of Yer Space theatre, and played in Crystal Clear, a play at the Edinburgh Festival. The show received critical acclaim, and Coleman was awarded an award for her performance. Coleman's breakthrough was in 2005, when she joined the cast of Jasmine Thomas on the Emmerdale soap-opera. She continued appearing in the series until it ended in 2009. Her role in the role of Jasmine Thomas earned her a nomination for Most Popular Young Actress at the National Television Awards in 2006. Coleman was first seen in a film as Connie (Captain America: The First Avenger) in 2011. The best opportunity for Coleman to demonstrate her acting versatility occurred in 2016, when ITV show Victoria provided her with the role of the once-in-a-while British Monarch, Queen Victoria. Coleman is an excellent actor, and has demonstrated her aplomb by starring as Lindsay James (a British schoolgirl) in BBC drama Waterloo Road and now an Empress Victoria.
