Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American businesswoman for more than 20 years. She is the owner and director of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss, who is born in California, was raised in an extremely wealthy family. Their father Jerry Buss was a real-estate tycoon who later became the manager of the Lakers as well as other sports companies. After her parents split up in 1972, she was convinced that they had abandoned her. As a 19-year-old she inherited management of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as their General Manager. The team was later renamed an organization called the Los Angeles Blades, a professional team of roller hockey. She was the the president for Great Western Forum prior to becoming the vice-president of Lakers. Buss' father died in 2013, and the Lakers were acquired by Buss and her five siblings via the trust. Each of the siblings had the same number of votes. she assumed the duties as President for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss runs Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles which is an organization that is a pro-wrestling organization.
